The Breeder guarantees this puppy to be in good health at the time of purchase. Purchaser is required to have the puppy examined by a Veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase.  Breeder will be notified immediately of any problems; worms/parasites are not covered under this clause as they are a “normal” condition in young puppies. This puppy has had routine worming and parasite control and Purchaser will need to continue the puppy on a suitable worming protocol as suggested by a Veterinarian.

The Breeder certifies that both the sire and dam of this puppy have been certified clear of hip dysplasia and heritable eye disease by the appropriate Veterinary authorities in those areas.

SOUNDNESS  WARRANTEE:
Understanding that no 100% guarantees are possible in dealing with living creatures and that not all problems are totally genetically caused, the Breeder and the Purchaser agree to the following:

A) If the puppy is diagnosed by a certified Orthopedic Veterinarian or a certifying body such as either OVC, WCVM, or OFA as having hip dysplasia by or at 24 months of age;

B) If the puppy is diagnosed by a certified Veterinary Opthalmologist as having heritable juvenile cataracts or PRA by or at 48 months of age;

and the problem is severe enough to interfere with the dog’s ability to function as a pet, the Breeder will, after receipt of documentation of spay/neuter of the dog from a Veterinary Surgeon, and receipt of documentation from the Veterinary Specialists who diagnosed the aforementioned heritable genetic conditions, offer a refund of one-half the purchase price less the deposit.  If the Purchaser decides to keep the originally purchased dog, they agree to bear the expense of any necessary treatment. Hip warranty will be void if the dog is subjected to excessive physical stress prior to 18 months of age, and/or is overweight or poorly conditioned, based on the observations of the Breeder and/or the Breeder's and/or Purchaser's Veterinarian.

Please be aware that as a new puppy owner you share in the responsibility to help prevent dysplasias, as it has been proven to be part heredity and increasingly environmental. Through proper diet, proper exercise, and quality living conditions, you can play an important role in helping your puppy grow into a healthy adult.
